The #1 Roth Conversion Mistake That Costs Retirees

Most people missed the first Roth conversion window. History is offering a rare second chance — but not a long one.

With today's tax rates extended, IRA Millionaires have a brief stretch of historically low brackets left. When it closes, the math changes: higher rates, bigger required distributions, and fewer conversion opportunities each year you wait.

Craig Wear, CFP®, has spent 15+ years helping more than 3,000 families with $1M+ in IRAs plan Roth conversions — helping them avoid a projected $10B+ in lifetime taxes. His new book, Roth Conversion Reset, is the step-by-step playbook:

Lock in today's low rates
Avoid RMD surprises at 73
Protect your spouse from survivor taxes
Keep more for your heirs

The book is free — no credit card, no shipping. The full PDF lands in your inbox in minutes.

FINALLY, CRYPTO IS RISING AGAIN

After weeks of choppy price action, the market woke up this week. Bitcoin is trading near $77,000, Ethereum is holding around $2,400, and the Fear and Greed Index has jumped to 72, firmly in "greed" territory. Traders who bet against the market got squeezed hard, regulators moved on new rules, and Binance opened the door for AI agents to trade on your behalf. Here is everything you need to know before the weekend.

📰 TOP STORIES THIS WEEK

BTC rallies past $77K as short sellers lose billions

Bitcoin jumped more than 9% in a day and over 20% in a week, helped by a wave of forced liquidations that hit $1.25 billion, strong spot ETF inflows topping $600 million, and a weaker dollar. The next big test sits between $78,000 and $79,000. Clear that and traders may look toward $84,000 next.

67 million Americans own crypto, but the number has a backstory

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse cited the figure after a White House meeting with President Trump and top regulators. The data comes from a survey funded by Ripple through the National Cryptocurrency Association. It is a real number, but it only measures existing holders, not broader public support. A key Senate vote on the CLARITY Act is set for September 15.

SEC proposes new rules with a $75M fundraising path

The SEC published its proposed Regulation Crypto Assets framework, creating two exemptions for crypto companies. Startups can raise up to $5 million over four years with light disclosure, while a second path allows up to $75 million a year with stricter reporting. The proposal is now open for public comment for 60 days.

Binance lets AI agents trade for you with Agent OS

Binance launched Agent OS, a platform that connects AI agents like Claude and ChatGPT to trading and payments through a permission based system. Agents work inside an isolated sub-account and cannot withdraw funds to outside wallets. Coinbase and Kraken already offer similar AI trading tools of their own.
